As our world evolves, we are learning more about our genetics. In this ever changing world, it is important for senior leadership to enact changes in recognition of our new understanding of our bodies and how they work. One example of how bioethics impacts our society is tobacco use. It was only thirty years ago when smoking was allowed everywhere and probably 90% of the American population smoked cigarettes. Bioethicists have been, at least in part, responsible for new policies preventing smoking in places where others will be exposed to the harms. As for intelligent careers, this may be one of the lesser known but up and coming.

Of course, you can do better or worse but that is not a poor man’s income.

Asia wants you, if you can teach English to their students. It may not sound glamorous but how many careers really are glamorous? In different parts of Asia, especially China, there is a high demand for people to teach English. It is even possible without a degree you could be hired. Yes, it is a huge sacrifice, the idea of moving to a foreign country. It can also been seen as a great opportunity. You  will add to your resume and have a chance to travel and see things most Americans never will.

Bond or Stock Trader

Not only do you need a decent IQ, you also need to be quick witted. The fast paced, constantly changing world of commercial trading requires the ability to make decisions quickly. You have to have a strong gut and the ability to take losses in stride. A trader certainly must be intelligent. You will need the ability to read and understand charts, graphs, and algorithms. There is a lot of hard work that goes into this profession but the pay out can be huge.

The world is a complicated place and intelligent careers are there for people who fit the bill. It requires all kinds to make it work. Those gifted with a higher IQ ave their own special role to play. While it may seem they are limited to specific areas, there is a place for intelligence nearly every where, even where you may not think to look.
